Sasquatch Island has the most interesting stage performance for Sasquatch conferences. In one hour to two hours, Tom & Peggy enthrall an audience with a speaking narrative with a huge Kwakwaka’wakw First Nations (Vancouver Island coast Indian Tribe) performance focused on Sasquatch.
His Kwakwaka’wakw Tribe has the closest tie to Sasquatch/Dzoonakwa than any other Tribe on Sasquatch Island a.k.a. North America. The Dzoonakwa is the highest ranked crest found on totem poles, feast dishes and brought to life with masks, regalia, dancing, drumming and song at the great Potlatch ceremonies held to this day!
Many North American Tribes know the stories of Sasquatch being called the Basket Lady who takes misbehaving children away into the woods in her basket.

The highlight of their mesmerizing stage performance is when the numerous traditional masks and regalia from Thomas’s Kwakwaka’wakw family enter the stage with Peggy performing dances one rarely gets to witness unless they attend a Potlatch
Yakima Sasquatch Conference 2022
The Bokwus, which is often mistaken as the Kwakwaka’wakw Sasquatch is shown. This is the small greenish hair covered bipedal creature that is the Chief of the Ghost World. They are referred to as Little People or Stick People by other Indian Tribes. This performance always enthralls the audience.
Thomas has shared the stage with most of the Sasquatch celebrities that speak at Sasquatch conferences. He’s well known and regarded as the most knowledgeable regarding North American Indian perspectives and beliefs about Sasquatch.
Thomas Sewid honed his skills as one of the greatest indigenous speakers on legends, history and his Sasquatch encounters by conducting walking stream of conscious narrative tours through his abandoned Indian village for decades. People would visit the site and he would walk them by fallen totem poles on the ground and remains of cedar pillars from ancestral Big House structures. He would bring the village and his ancestors to life with his stories.
Having lived in the bush for almost three decades, Thomas had his fair share of encounters of the hairy kind with Sasquatch. He lived and worked in the bush as a grizzly bear hunting guide, Eco-tourism operator and watched logging camps alone during winter/snow shutdowns. He also traveled the coast of British Columbia for over 45 years being a commercial fisherman hearing many reports about Sasquatch. He’s the modern-day bushman!
To Thomas, Sasquatch was just another creature his Tribe spoke about calling it Dzoonakwa, The Wild Ones of the Bush. His encounters with them while living in the bush like a Sasquatch, he got to know things about them that no other Sasquatch investigator can compare. Adding in his indigenous insight during his stage show, Thomas enthralls the audience with his sighting encounters and perspectives such as their seasonal migrations. He shares how they give us messages by leaving broken shellfish piled up, shaking of trees and the bouncing of tree branches. He also shares what tree knocking is about and how many have interpreted the knocks wrong.
Thomas studied Sasquatch under the great Sasquatch investigator and author, the late Dr. John Bindernagel from Vancouver Island. A man who to this day is referred to as one of the old guards. Thomas and John met and kindled a friendship that would last over 25 years! They investigated together and held many deep discussions about Sasquatch.
When it comes to Sasquatch investigators, many are trying to convey the contrived mystic that they are these adventuring Sasquatch chasing researchers. Thomas always says, “There are no Sasquatch researchers until we see a Diane Fossey or Jane Goodall interaction going on between a human and a Sasquatch or a Sasquatch clan. Anyone calling themselves a Sasquatch researcher without this interaction is so full of B.S. their eyes should be brown. I have forgotten more about Sasquatch than most will ever know”
Well Thomas is the real deal, he’s the modern-day bushman adventurer that has had his share of Sasquatch encounters, knows the bush world like very few and brings forward the scientific and indigenous knowledge to help explain more about Sasquatch, than anybody else. Adding in he’s investigated Sasquatch from The Northwest Territories in Northern Canada, throughout British Columbia, Omaha Indian Reservation in Nebraska, Ohio and throughout other States adds to his expertise on Sasquatch.
